Decorating Your Storefront

Like all our templates, storefronts have “slots” that you can use to upload your images and videos (subject to subscription level). However, the number and position of the slots are not the same in all storefronts.

Starter and Style Series

Every template in these series has identical slots. Therefore, once you have decorated the room, you can interchange between any templates from these two series and the images will transfer directly.

  • The slots in the Slimline template are in slightly different locations within the room.

  • In the Sublevel template, some of the slots from the main room are duplicated in the lobby. What you place in the main room will automatically get duplicated in the lobby.

Shop Series

Again, these all have identical slots so you can interchange between templates from this series. However, the slots (shape, quantity, and position) differ from those in the Starter and Style series. This means that if you switch between templates from other series, your uploaded images may not all be displayed. They won’t be lost, and if you switch back again they will reappear, and you can always access them from your Uploads folder too.

Signature Series

The templates in this series all have unique slot layouts. So when switching between them, or with any other template, you may again temporarily lose some content.

Storefront Sizes

Standard Starter and the whole Style Series

The “Style” series and the Standard template are all the same size.

Slimline Starter

The Slimline is the smallest template, designed to alleviate situations where there is clipping from neighbouring buildings.

Standard Sublevel

The sublevel storefront is the same size as the others, but is set underground. The entrance lobby is a much smaller area. You can jump between the two areas using the elevator door.

Signature Series

The signature series is very slightly smaller than the others.

“You Choose” Storefronts

All templates in the Shop and Signature series, as well as the Slimline and Sublevel, have the “You Choose” tech. This means that you can upload your own designs for the floor, walls, and sometimes other areas too.

For walls and floors, this works best if you select a square image that is fully tileable (when laid like tiles, all edges match seamlessly). For other areas (e.g. dado rails) a plain block colour image is best. We have provided a selection of free tileable images for download in our Free Templates Guide.
