Overview
So you’ve purchased a plot of land, congratulations! But what now?
This guide will give you suggestions on what you can do to make the most out of the land you have purchased and why you should do it.
Current Property Development Benefits
The main benefit of owning a land plot (or multiple plots) is the revenue you can earn from properties sold within your land. As soon as you become a landowner, you will start earning revenues from every property purchased on your land by other users. These properties include apartments, penthouses, and storefronts. Your gains will be in metacoins and you will receive a notification each time a property on your land is purchased. You will earn the following commission of the property price:
97.5% from all new properties such as apartments, penthouses, and unregistered storefronts;
2.5% from p2p purchases of apartments and penthouses.
This also means that if you purchase a property on your land, you will receive 97.5% of the spent metacoins back in the form of commission.
An additional benefit of owning the land is the significant discount you get for purchasing the surrounding plots. The more land you own, the less expensive it gets to expand your area.

Time to start planning for your future
The purpose of the property development feature is to hand over control from FTL to the Infiniverse community. Giving you the tools to shape and curate the future of Infiniverse.
So what will the future of your land be? What do you want to create? What about the community who reside on your land?
Now is the time to think about the future and plan for it.
What is your vision?
Take some time to create a vision for the land you own.
A cyberpunk metropolis with multistorey stores, flying car utilities and interconnected community projects?
A fantasy realm, full of mythical creatures, whimsical cottages and dragon mounts?
If you can dream up something others will love, being able to explain your vision will help attract others who want to support it.
How do you want to achieve it?
Once you have a vision or end goal, how do you want to get there? What steps will you take?
It is important to think very generalised for the bigger steps, but refine the smaller steps to create a realistic progression that users can be involved with.
For example, if you want to build a city dedicated to you with your face everywhere and a giant gold statue, the first small step could be gathering support for selecting a location for a statue. Or talking to your community to establish which building is going to be your "city hall".
PROMOTE YOUR PLOT NOW!
How can you promote your land to others and encourage them to buy in within your plot? Through the Discovery Menu! On the Discovery Menu, you can get visibility by showcasing your:
Events
Storefronts
Metaverses
Each of the above would be discoverable and searchable on the Discovery Menu as long as you populate the Discovery Menu section at MultiverseOnline.io. Visit our Discovery Menu Featuring Guide for more details. This is a great way of letting others know the benefits of buying an apartment or a storefront in your plot. The benefits you want to offer, are of course up to you. However, here are some ideas worth considering.
Host a grand opening event and offer exclusive benefits or bonuses to people who buy into your plots
HOW:
Decide what exclusive benefit or bonus you want to offer (an example would be 10% off products you are selling in a store etc., a discount on apartments you have for sale, etc.)
Pick a location you want to host an event in (maybe mare a new room for it)
Populate a Discovery Menu banner, icon, and description
Create an event via our Event System; you can also request an event featuring on the official Meta Quest website
Do a giveaway event and only people who have purchased in your plot are entered into the giveaway
HOW:
Decide what you want to have as a prize for the giveaway
Decide how many properties users need to own in your plot or maybe where they have to own property in your plot

Create an event via our Event System; you can also request an event featuring on the official Meta Quest website
Form a committee and do a call-out event to your current residents so they can join a plot specific metaverse created by you for all your residents to be on (this would help you give management controls to users you trust or elect)
HOW:
Create a new metaverse for your plot
Ideally, do this before you purchase the plot so that you can link the plot to that metaverse and keep it separate from your personal metaverses
Create a Discovery Menu banner, icon, and description which tells people that metaverse is for your plot committee, how they can reach out to you and how they can be added
Create an event via our Event System
The event will be added to the Discovery Menu
Give manage permissions to the committee members in your metaverse
Host a brainstorming event, ask all your residents to meet up with you to have a chat about what you would like to see in that plot
HOW:
Decide the time, date, and location of your brainstorming session
We recommend providing information video on your room panels to direct people on the topics and where they can submit their feedback
Ideally, you want to create the event so that it does not depend on your attendance and instead encourages users to meet with each other and discuss, then those users forward the info to you

Film a nice welcome or greeting message and host an event for people to come together and watch the video
HOW:
Decide the time, date, and location of your video premiere
Create your video or plan the live stream if you have the correct subscription plan
Ideally, you want to create the event so that it does not depend on your attendance and instead users can attend to listen to you
Perhaps arrange a place for users to forward their questions to you in advance, to answer in the video/live stream

Future Property Development Benefits
Map Room
The Dev team has been working on a special map room that provides an overview of Infiniverse and all the apartments/storefronts within it. The plan is to allow plot editing from this map room.
Initially, it will provide an overview of the plots you own and potential plots you are looking to buy.
Utility buildings
The long-awaited jet packs will be coming as part of the Property Development feature. Though it is possible this might not be the only utility. As discussed in previous AMAs, the Dev team is looking at other utilities like jet skis, fireworks and boomboxes. How exactly these utilities will be implemented, is not yet confirmed as development still needs to be completed.
Storefront trading
You have been asking ever since storefronts became available, and we are pleased to say that we intend to make storefronts trade-able as part of the Property Development feature.
Land trading
Land trading is planned for the future which would allow users to sell their plots and the developments they have made on those plots.
