Discover The Discovery Menu! Coming early October!

As mentioned in our last AmA, the Discovery Menu will be soft launching very soon, we are currently planning to do so in the first week of October.

As it's going to be quite a big and exciting new tool, we figured we'd share a few details ahead of time. One key thing you need to know is this is a "soft launch" and as such, some features will be added later based on the initial feedback from the community.

Addition of "Offers" and removal of  "sell now"

A huge addition to Multiverse as part of the discovery menu launch, will be the ability to make offers on properties owned by others across Infiniverse. With this new feature, not only will you be able to make offers on properties you want that aren't for sale but you'll be able to better gauge the potential value of your property based on what others are offering to purchase it from you for.

Thanks to our new notification system, you'll be able to see and respond to your offers with ease too!  Not only that, but you can mark certain properties as "do not receive offers" if you have no interest in selling them.

With this new offer system the true community based property market and economy will take over and firmly establish itself, meaning you'll be able to better gauge the true value of your property instead of basing it off of the base level algorithm.

In order to facilitate and nurture a community based economy, the "sell now" option will be removed as part of the discovery menu launch. Instead, the options to sell will now either be "on the market" or by accepting an offer from another user. By removing sell now, this ensures all properties stay within the community, to benefit the community.

However, that's not all. The removal of "sell now" is key to the implementation of another incredible feature we have in development which substantially rewards and benefits those users who have heavily invested with a region of Infiniverse. Chris has been teasing this over the last few weeks and we briefly hinted about the tool in our last AmA. We're now ready to let you know a little more in our next AmA, planned for next week (date and time TBA). You really don't want to miss this one.

Discovery menu content

The discovery menu is full to the brim with content and information, designed to help you navigate Infiniverse.

As such, we're in the process of creating a tutorial guide to help you get to grips with it. This should be available shortly before the launch or on the day of.

Yet we believe, for most of you, the design and layout of the discovery menu will be familiar and intuitive. Providing you with quick access to anything you desire within Infiniverse; storefronts, Metaverses and even landmarks are included. All accessible with a click of the "visit" or “locate” button.

The whole system was designed to increase discoverability and ease of navigation. Not just for locations, but also your content! You'll quickly find that community areas and districts will be greatly rewarded for their time and investment as their content will be highly visible and accessible to new and existing users, within the discovery menu.

With that in mind, if you haven't already done so, now is the time to start making your content ready to be featured! Take some time to follow this guide and get your storefronts, events, metaverses and rooms ready to be visible in the discovery menu!

More to come

As mentioned, this soft launch means some of our features are still in development and will be added later. Features such as the ability for users to list their own user created events themselves directly to the Discovery Menu, as well as being able to like / favorite the places, people and storefronts you want to make a note of for the future.

There will most likely be features we haven't even thought of, that your feedback will clarify a need for. So keep in mind that the discovery menu is constantly evolving and adapting to the community needs. If you have an idea or suggestions, or maybe even something needs tweaking, please let us know.

We’ll let you know when the Discovery Menu tutorial becomes available, in the meantime, get your featured content ready and we’ll see you on in October!
